The military’s codes of conduct unite diverse individuals from across the nation to represent the US with honor and achieve victory in our nation’s conflicts. A fundamental code is that no soldier, seaman, airman, or marine is left behind. This principle should extend beyond the military and become part of our national identity. We must ensure no one is neglected, especially those striving to better themselves as citizens and soldiers through higher education, which allows them to contribute their expertise to both military and civilian workplaces.

Women veterans are particularly vulnerable to numerous social and mental health challenges at rates higher than the general population. They also constitute a significant portion of the homeless population, a tragic reality. However, solid education and employment opportunities can serve as critical lifelines for veterans transitioning back to civilian life. A Journey of Hope is committed to providing these essential resources to help women veterans successfully reintegrate, thrive in their communities, and transition smoothly to civilian life.
